Agility Robotics and Digit in 2026: Where Digit Works, How Companies Get One, and What Digit 5 Changes

Agility Robotics builds Digit, a humanoid robot that moves totes and bins in warehouses and factories. As of October 19, 2026, Digit is sold only to businesses: you can’t buy one as an individual, and Agility publishes no price. Companies start through Agility’s Deploy Digit request form. The next model, Digit 5, is still in development, with early access planned for the first half of 2027.

Who uses Digit today

Agility’s home page shows GXO, Schaeffler and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada as customers and says Digit has 65,000 hours of real production experience. The company’s leadership page also lists Toyota, Amazon, Mercado Libre and GXO among the supply chain partners where Digit has worked.

The work is narrow and repetitive by design: picking up totes, moving them between shelves, conveyors and carts, and handing off to other automation. The site describes Digit working near people and alongside existing systems such as autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and warehouse management software.

The robots are assembled by Agility in Salem, Oregon.

How a company gets Digit

There’s no checkout page. Agility describes a three-step deployment process on its deployment process page and home page:

  1. Solution setup: Agility assesses which workflows in your facility Digit can automate.
  2. On-site validation: Digit runs as part of your actual workflow to show results.
  3. Operational impact: Agility stays on as a partner to keep throughput up and expand the deployment.

To start, a company fills in the Deploy Digit form. Pricing, contract terms and the number of robots come out of that conversation; none of it is published. Fleets run on Agility Arc, the company’s cloud platform for managing robots and workflows.

If you’re an individual or a small lab looking for a humanoid you can buy at a listed price, Digit isn’t an option. Our Unitree G1 price guide covers one that is.

What Digit 5 changes

Agility unveiled Digit 5 as its first humanoid designed for “cooperative safety,” meaning it is meant to work close to people without fences around it. The Digit 5 product page lists these preliminary figures:

  • Payload: 23 kg (50 lb)
  • Reach: 2.2 m (7.2 ft)
  • Run-to-charge ratio: 10:1
  • Work per day: 20 hours out of 24
  • Grippers: swappable, so the tool can change with the task
  • Software: ships with fleet management meant to connect to AMRs and warehouse, execution and manufacturing systems (WMS, WES, MES)

The battery is the biggest practical change. In its October 15, 2026 announcement of battery partner Nyobolt, Agility said Digit 5 will run 90 minutes and recharge in 9 minutes. Digit 4, the current model, runs at a 2:1 ratio, so it spends far more of each shift at the dock.

Two caveats from Agility’s own footnotes: Digit 5 is in development and its specs may change, and the listed numbers are estimates from pre-production hardware. Some of the safety features are also still in development.

When Digit 5 will be available

The same Nyobolt release says early access to Digit 5 is expected in the first half of 2027, with availability increasing over the following six to nine months for manufacturing, warehouse and distribution operators. Until then, new deployments use the current Digit.

Agility’s plan to go public

Agility is merging with Churchill Capital Corp XI, a special purpose acquisition company. The SEC declared the registration statement effective on October 13, 2026, according to Agility’s press release. The companies expect the deal to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the combined company trading on Nasdaq as AGLT. The deal still needs Churchill shareholders’ approval.

How Digit compares

Digit is one of the few humanoids with named paying customers, but it isn’t the only one in warehouses.
