You can rent a humanoid robot by the day for events, subscribe to one by the month, or sign a multi-year robots-as-a-service (RaaS) contract for a warehouse. Published prices as of October 2026: 1X NEO at $499 a month for homes (or $20,000 to buy), AgiBot rentals in Europe from €899, and Agility Digit RaaS at a reported $8,500 a month plus about $25,000 to deploy, according to figures from its SEC merger filing. In China, day rates for event humanoids have fallen to roughly CNY 2,000–3,000 for a Unitree G1 or U2, about a tenth of early-2025 rates. Figure’s CEO has talked about leasing Figure 03 for about $600 a month, but no such offer is live.

1X’s subscription and AgiBot’s rental program are official offers; the Digit figures come from The Robot Report‘s reading of Agility’s S-4 merger filing in September 2026. Agility’s multi-year RaaS deal with GXO (2024) didn’t disclose a price.
Agility Digit: renting versus buying over five years
The same filing figures let you compare both routes over the five-year robot life Agility assumed. RaaS: $8,500 × 60 months plus the $25,000 deployment fee comes to about $535,000. Buying: about $200,000 for the robot, $20,000 to deploy and about $36,000 a year for software and maintenance comes to about $400,000. RaaS costs more over five years but needs about $25,000 up front instead of $220,000. Financing costs and resale value aren’t in either number. Agility’s CEO has separately said Digit pays back in under two years against a worker costing a fully loaded $30 an hour, per a 2024 interview.
1X NEO: subscription or purchase
At $499 a month, the NEO subscription reaches the $20,000 Early Access purchase price after about 40 months. The purchase includes a three-year warranty and priority delivery, according to the 1X order page; a refundable $200 deposit holds an order. 1X said in its October 2025 launch release that US deliveries start in 2026 and other markets follow from 2027.
Humanoid day rates in China
China has a busy market for renting humanoids to trade shows, store openings and parties, and prices there are reported by local media rather than published by makers. All figures below are in yuan per day:
- December 2025: AgiBot and Flycode launched the Qingtian Zu (Botshare) platform. Yicai reported mainstream humanoids at CNY 3,000–5,000 a day on it; Jiemian reported AgiBot’s Lingxi X2 from CNY 1,499.
- February 2026: JD.com’s own rental store offered Unitree U1 and AgiBot X2 from CNY 1,796 with an on-site engineer, against nearly CNY 10,000 a year earlier, per Beijing News.
- March 2026: Economic Daily News put the market-wide fall at about 70% in a year, from CNY 10,000–20,000 to 3,000–5,000.
- October 2026: Unitree U2 rents for about CNY 3,000 and G1 for about CNY 2,000, against CNY 10,000–30,000 in early 2025, per Hangzhou Daily. Most of the 60-plus products on Qingtian Zu rent for under CNY 10,000 a day.
The JD.com and Qingtian Zu rates above include an on-site engineer who runs the robot; event humanoids perform scripted dances, greetings and remote-controlled moves.
What a humanoid costs to buy instead
Unitree publishes prices for its humanoids: the R1 AIR at $4,900 and R1 at $5,900, the G1 from $13,500 and the H2 at $29,900, before tax and shipping; EDU research versions are quoted by sales. If you need a robot on more than a few dozen days a year, set the purchase price against the day rates above before you rent. Our humanoid robot price list covers official purchase prices for 13 models.
Questions to ask before renting or leasing
- Is the price per day, month or hour, and what is the minimum term?
- Does it include an operator, transport, setup, insurance and damage cover?
- For RaaS: is deployment billed separately, and what uptime, response time and software updates are guaranteed?
- Who owns the data the robot collects, and can it leave your site network?
- What happens at the end of the term: return, renewal or a buy-out price?
Our RaaS pricing guide covers the same contract questions for warehouse robots, and our humanoid deployment tracker shows where Digit and other humanoids actually work.
