Automate’s show badge is free and includes the exhibits, keynotes and show-floor programming. Conference sessions require a paid conference pass, which also includes show access. If your main purpose is meeting suppliers and watching demonstrations, start with the free badge. Consider a conference pass when the sessions fit the work you want to learn about.
The upcoming edition is Automate 2027, May 10–13, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, according to the organizer’s FAQ. The admission details and prices below were checked on October 16, 2026.
What you can do with the free show badge
The official pricing page includes exhibit access, the Keynote Stage, Show Theater, Innovation Stage, Humanoid Pavilion & Stage, and AMR technology demonstrations with the show badge. You can build a visit around booth meetings, product questions and these included programs without buying a conference pass.
Free entry still requires registration. Some included activities also need a separate reservation: the current pricing page marks the Women’s Empowerment Forum and Latin America Business Networking as included but requiring registration. When adding an activity to your agenda, check both its admission category and its booking requirement.
For a hypothetical visitor comparing robot suppliers, the free badge can cover the central purpose of the trip: asking about the application, watching a demonstration and discussing integration. Write down the questions that need a supplier’s answer before filling your day with appointments.
For example, ask which customer task a system performs, how operators intervene when it fails, and who handles service. Our Automate 2026 commercialization retrospective develops those questions using the previous event’s evidence. It is background for evaluating demonstrations, rather than a list of confirmed 2027 exhibitors.
Compare the three admission choices
These are the organizer’s published prices in US dollars. Early pricing runs through March 29, 2027; standard pricing starts March 30, 2027 and continues through the event.
| Admission choice | Early price | Standard price | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Show badge | Free | Free | Exhibits, keynotes and included show-floor programming |
| One-day conference pass | $395 | $450 | Conference access for one day, plus show access |
| All-access conference pass | $1,095 | $1,195 | All conference sessions and conference proceedings, plus show access |
A conference attendee does not need to budget for a second paid exhibit ticket. The paid choice adds conference access to the show experience. Certification exams and separately priced events sit outside this comparison.
The useful distinction between the conference passes is the schedule you intend to follow. A visitor who needs sessions on one day can compare that day’s program with the one-day price. Someone whose relevant sessions span several days should compare that plan with all-access coverage. Leave room for the supplier meetings that brought you to the show as well.
Check the 2027 program before choosing your conference days
As of the verification date, the conference overview says 2027 programming is still in development. Its linked 2026 agenda is a preview of the kind of content offered. Use it to explore topics; wait for the 2027 program to match specific sessions, speakers and dates to your plans.
Consider a hypothetical engineer planning a machine-vision project. Booth conversations might answer camera, lighting and integration questions, while conference sessions could provide structured learning relevant to the project. The engineer’s next step is to identify the desired subjects and check where they appear in the new program. The appropriate pass follows from those sessions and their dates.
The organizer also says registration can be added to later. That makes it useful to keep your show plans and desired conference topics together while the program develops. Check the applicable price when you make an addition, especially around the March 29 early-pricing deadline.
Keep exams and paid events separate from admission
Conference access and certification are separate purchases. The pricing page lists exam fees for the Certified Vision Professional and Certified Motion Control Professional programs, with different amounts depending on the exam and whether you hold a conference pass. Select the actual certification route before adding its cost to your budget.
The page also separately prices the networking party and the Joseph F. Engelberger Awards Ceremony. An activity’s presence at Automate does not put it inside every badge. Follow the included or paid label for the specific event, along with any registration requirement.
Travel, accommodation and meals belong in your trip budget separately. For the show itself, start from the badge or pass above, then add only the exams and events you intend to book.
Register for Las Vegas and keep your confirmation
Use the registration link on the current official Automate site for the 2027 event. The FAQ says badges are collected on site at the Automate registration desk. Your confirmation email contains a QR code for quicker pickup; staff can also look up your registration by name.
Keep that confirmation with your chosen conference days and any separately registered activities.
