CoRL 2026 in Austin: Dates, Venues, Registration and What to Know Before You Go

CoRL 2026, the Conference on Robot Learning, hasn’t happened yet: it runs November 9–12, 2026 in Austin, Texas, with the main conference on November 9–11 and workshops on November 12, according to the official CoRL 2026 site. As of October 19, registration is still open through the conference’s Cvent page. Two things have already closed: cancellation refunds (October 1) and the hotel group discount (October 16).

Where the sessions are

CoRL 2026 is spread across three buildings, so check which one you need before each day. The official site lists them this way:

  • JW Marriott Austin (110 E 2nd St): poster sessions, exhibits, lunch and breaks.
  • Hilton Austin (500 E 4th St): presentations and keynotes on days 1 and 2.
  • Bass Hall (2350 Robert Dedman Dr, on the University of Texas campus): the reception and the day 3 keynote.

The two hotels are a few blocks apart downtown. Bass Hall is not, so plan transport for day 3. The site has a separate transportation from downtown page for that leg.

Who is giving the keynotes

The keynote page lists four speakers:

  • Russ Tedrake (MIT)
  • Fei-Fei Li (Stanford University)
  • Wolfram Burgard (University of Technology Nuremberg)
  • Lisa Su (Chair and CEO, AMD)

The program also has early-career keynotes, a special panel and the accepted-papers list, all linked from the program page. Workshop topics for November 12 are on the workshops page.

How to register

  1. Open the CoRL 2026 registration page and follow the link to the Cvent registration site.
  2. Pick a registration type. The form offers Academic, Industry, Student, and Exhibit Staff (booth staff only).
  3. Pay by credit card. The Cvent event page says it doesn’t accept wire transfers, checks or purchase orders, and all prices are in US dollars.
  4. Download your confirmation. If you need a visa invitation letter, it comes from the confirmation page or confirmation email.

The registration page says the standard rate was moved to October 13–31 to line up with the camera-ready deadline. The fee amounts themselves only appear inside the Cvent form after you choose a registration type, so check the price there before paying.

Rules that catch people out

These come from the registration page and the Cvent summary:

  • No refunds now. Cancellations before October 1, 2026 cost a $50 fee. After that date there are no refunds for any reason.
  • You can transfer a registration. Changing the attendee’s name is free; log in through “Already registered?” on Cvent.
  • Payment changes cost $25. That includes a refund for using the wrong card.
  • Authors must register. Each main-conference paper needs at least one author on a full registration (student registration counts), or the paper won’t be published. One registration covers up to two papers. Workshop-paper authors don’t need a full registration.
  • Oral presenters must show up. If the presenter is absent, the paper is downgraded to a poster. Posters can be presented by someone other than the authors.

If you’re coming from outside the US

The invitation letter is only for the visa application. The registration page states it doesn’t imply any financial support from the organizers. With the conference three weeks away, a new visa appointment may not be possible in time; check current interview wait times for your consulate on the US State Department visa wait times page before you book anything non-refundable. Visa questions go to the planner, C to C Events, at marissa@ctocevents.com.

The group hotel rate expired on October 16, per the official site. Rooms at the venue hotels may still be bookable at regular prices; the hotel information page lists the options. The site also runs childcare and a robotics camp for attendees with kids.

How CoRL compares with the other big robotics meetings

CoRL is a single-track conference focused on robot learning, smaller than the IEEE flagship meetings. If you’re planning next year’s calendar, the next two large robotics conferences are ICRA 2027 in Seoul (May 24–28) and IROS 2027 in Florence. For a humanoid-focused industry event, Humanoids Summit Silicon Valley runs December 1–2, three weeks after CoRL.
